Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need NFA engraving?
If you're manufacturing an NFA firearm on a Form 1 (SBR, SBS, suppressor) or registering an NFA item to a trust, yes — the ATF requires specific markings engraved on the item. This includes the maker's name (or trust name), city, and state.
Do I need to buy my firearm from you?
No. Bring in any firearm or NFA item. You don't need to purchase it from us to use our engraving service.
What are the ATF engraving requirements?
ATF requires the engraving to be at least 0.003 inches deep and in a print size no smaller than 1/16 inch. It must include the maker's name (or trust name), city, and state. We ensure every engraving meets these requirements.
How long does it take?
Most NFA engraving is done same day or next day. Custom decorative work depends on the complexity of the job.
What materials can you engrave?
We laser engrave on metal — aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and titanium. We also do laser marking on polymer items like PMAGs and other polymer magazines and accessories.
