Professional Fingerprinting | Teacher Licensure, NFA, Concealed Carry & More | Fargo, ND
Law Enforcement Grade Equipment. Same-Day Results.
Horace Fingerprint Service provides professional certified fingerprinting using the Integrated Biometrics Kojak — the same live scan system used by law enforcement agencies nationwide. We offer digital EFT files for ATF NFA applications, physical FD-258 card printing for North Dakota teacher licensure (ESPB), employment background checks, concealed carry permits, and more. Zero ink. Zero smudges. Zero rejected prints. Serving Horace, Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead, and the greater Fargo-Moorhead area.
EFT Fingerprinting — ATF NFA Applications
Electronic Fingerprint Transmission (EFT) is the ATF's required digital fingerprint format for all NFA applications submitted through ATF eForms. If you're purchasing a suppressor, building an SBR on a Form 1, or filing any Form 4 transfer, you need an EFT file.
Your EFT file is created from your digital fingerprint captures and submitted directly with your ATF eForm application. Your EFT file never expires — get fingerprinted once and use that file for every future NFA purchase.
- Required for ATF Form 1 (SBR/SBS builds) and Form 4 (NFA transfers)
- Works for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and transferable machine guns
- Same-day file delivery — ready for your eForm submission immediately
- File never expires — one appointment covers all future NFA purchases
- Compatible with all NFA trusts and individual filings
North Dakota Teacher Licensure Fingerprinting — ESPB
If you are applying for a North Dakota teaching license, you are required to submit two completed FD-258 fingerprint cards to the Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB) in Bismarck. We handle the entire process in one 30-minute appointment — so you leave with everything sealed and ready to mail.
What we do in your appointment:
- Capture your fingerprints digitally — no ink, no mess
- Print your physical FD-258 fingerprint cards on our FBI-compliant 1200 DPI laser printer
- Complete Part 2 of the ESPB Fingerprint Verification Form (the technician section)
- Seal and sign the envelope exactly as ESPB requires
- Can also print physical FD-258 cards from an existing digital fingerprint file
What you need to bring:
- Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
- ESPB Fingerprint Verification Form — complete Part 1 before your appointment (available at nd.gov/espb)
- Criminal History Record Check Request Form — complete the Subject of Record Check section
- A large envelope to hold two 8x8 fingerprint cards without folding
- Money order or cashier's check for $44.50 made out to ESPB (no personal checks — this goes directly to ESPB, not us)

North Dakota Concealed Weapon License Fingerprinting
New applicants for a North Dakota Concealed Weapon License are required to submit two fingerprint cards with their application packet to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). We are an authorized provider — no certification or pre-approval is required to use our service.
We scan your fingerprints on our law enforcement-grade Kojak livescan system and print two FBI-compliant FD-258 fingerprint cards directly from the digital scan using our certified Brother laser printer. You leave with two completed cards ready to include in your CWL application packet.
What to Bring
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Your full legal name, date of birth, and current residence address
How It Works
- Schedule an appointment — walk-ins are not available for this service
- We scan your fingerprints digitally using the Kojak livescan system
- Two FD-258 fingerprint cards are printed on-site and handed to you
- Include both cards in your CWL application packet and mail to BCI
The ORI field on the cards will be left blank per BCI guidance — this is correct for non-law enforcement providers. All other required fields will be completed per BCI specifications.
$65 per session. One appointment. Two cards. Ready to mail.Schedule Appointment →
Already Have an EFT File? We Can Print Your Cards.
If you already have a digital EFT fingerprint file — from a previous NFA purchase, another provider, or your own livescan session — we can print it directly onto official FBI FD-258 fingerprint cards using our certified Brother laser printer.
This is especially useful for:
- ATF Form 5 transfers — Form 5 requires hard copy FD-258 cards, not digital EFT files. If you have an EFT file we can print the cards you need.
- Concealed carry applications — BCI requires physical cards. If your prints were captured digitally elsewhere, bring the file and we'll print your cards.
- Any requirement needing physical cards — some agencies, courts, and licensing bodies require hard copy FD-258 cards regardless of whether a digital file exists.
No new scan required — just email your EFT file to sales@horacefirearms.com ahead of your appointment. Cards are printed on-site and handed to you the same day.
$35 for two cards. Email your EFT file ahead of time. Leave with printed cards.Schedule Appointment →
